Hi, I recently purchased a 2000 XLT - it was ex-police and the dashboard (amongst other bits!) was carved up so they could fit their radio etc in. I found a replacement from a '98 - it came as single din radio fitting and a clock - this helped as I was fitting a Sony CD anyhow, saved me getting a fascia adaptor etc., but I cannot connect the clock - it has an 8 pin male connector on the reverse, but no corresponding spare connector behind the dash.
Two questions - is there just a section of wiring missing and I could plug into another connector further back in the loom?
Or does anyone know what the 8 pins do - I assume it needs +12v permanent, +12v switched, Ground and maybe lights (Same as the stereo), but which pins connect to which wire?

Any help gratefully received from sunny UK!

Thanks in advance!

Stuart.

could you get a picture of this clock/dash? i have never seen this. sorry i cant help. but the clock interested me..lol

I'm going to say that I doubt there is just a connector where you can plug it in. If you can figure out the wiring for it you could just splice it into the corresponding wires on the radio harness.

Forgive length of time for reply, I'm struggling desperately with pictures and my ISP.

I'll try again tomorrow.

pictures

If your not a paid member I do not think you can upload and post pictures,, but you can put a link to them on a site like www.kodak.com or you can find a site that will HOST them like www.photobucket.com and then you can put the IMG link and the pictures will show up here.. I reccomend the that you create the HTML code for Thumbnails ( the site does it for you )..Then copy it and paste it here.. Also both sites are FREE with photobucket having a limit each moth of used bandwidth..

About the clock,, never seen one cant help even with a picture heheheh :-)

See Ya

I bet that it plugged into the back of the radio and got power, lights, and clock data from there. Are there any time set buttons on the clock
