I didn't like the stripes and badges on my Explorer so I set about removing them...

I got some fishing twine and some "tar & glue" remover and a heat gun...

using the fishing twine I ran it behind the lettering on the rear door and worked the lettering off. leaving the sticky padding behind.

I then used the heat gun on the striping down the sides... be careful not to stay in the same place too long, you don't want to damage the paint.

Once the stripes were off I used some tar & glue remover to get rid of the left overs.. I'm very pleased with the results....

always wanted to know seeing that there are no monty's here in canada, are those reflectors in the rear bumper, or are they lights that work?

the inners are relfecters and the outas are the fogs,

Hey blueka
lookin good:thumbsup:
You gonna do the blue badges in black?? I think that might just set it off

That looks a lot better Si- love the clean look! Good work!

what's a monty? And you can see my explorer first hand when I ship it over..

I'm keeping the badges blue for now.. Looking for something a little special..

I think "Monty" was supposed to be "Mounty" as the Mountaineer in North America has similar reflectors on the rear bumper but not as functional as the ones you have...

oh... Well the mounty was never sold here.. Ours is a rear fog light.. I'll try and get some pictures in the dark..

What size tires do you have?

looks cracking, loving the tyres, is your suspension standard ?

I'm shopping for tyres at the mo was going std size All terrains again but your pic has got me thinking :)

I was running standard set up when I fitted them, but now I've done the torsion twist and had some Kevin P shackles fitted...
