I didn't like the stripes and badges on my Explorer so I set about removing them...
I got some fishing twine and some "tar & glue" remover and a heat gun...
using the fishing twine I ran it behind the lettering on the rear door and worked the lettering off. leaving the sticky padding behind.
I then used the heat gun on the striping down the sides... be careful not to stay in the same place too long, you don't want to damage the paint.
Once the stripes were off I used some tar & glue remover to get rid of the left overs.. I'm very pleased with the results....
