Dead battery???

My battery keeps going dead. the car starts up when it is jumped but goes dead again after it has been off. i have lots of accessories running off the battery ie. 6 hella lights and big stereo. what could cause this to be happening????

Have the battery tested to see if it is holding a charge. Once the truck starts, everything runs off the alternator. If the battery isn't being charged by the alternator, it won't start after you shutdown.

if the alternator runs the car after the battery starts it, the car should continue to run if you disconnect the battery while it is running. if it stops running, then the alternator must have gone bad.

if u need to replace battieries go with a optima for 190, those wont drain with all that stuff your running

thanks guys i am going to take the battery to be tested. and if it is bad i am definitly going with the yellow top.
