Im thinking about picking up a KKM intake system, but my X still has the dealer warrenty! Im wondering if i may have problems from the dealer about this? Does anyone have experiance with this?

BTW, i spoke to someone at my Dealership and they really didnt understand what i was talking about, i explained this clear as day too!!

Thanks

Don

I've heard there are...but you could always just hang onto the stock air box and put that in there if you needed to. It's really easy to take apart and put back together, especially if you've already done it...

It depends on what problems you develop. If your radio goes out then no, a KKM won't affect your warranty. If your MAF sensor fails because of too much oil, then the odds are very good that the dealer will attribute it to your KKM and deny any warranty coverage. If your engine fails, your dealer may or may not try and claim that your KKM let in dirt which caused it to fail. Legally, they can not void your warranty because of a KKM. If they denied your warranty unjustly you can take them to court and force them to prove that your KKM caused the problem. The easiest way to prevent this from happening is to replace the KKM with your stock filter any time you have to take it to the dealer just to avoid having to deal with these types of problems. It isn't that hard to swap.
