What does everybdy think of there Ford dealer.

My ford dealer sucks,
The guys behind the counter make you feel like your intruding.
The service department scares me. I bought my car there and I am supposed to be a prefered customer, But they treat everybody like crape.

Are they all like my dealer or are some better....

I've been to the dealer once since I bought mine and that was to buy a trailer wire harness. It was in stock so, IMO, my dealer is great!

your not the only one man. Every time I go in for parts they have no clue what I'm talking about. They always say I should go to a hardware store for "special" screws that i lose when i take stuff apart. I personally hate the Parts Dept. The service dept is usually a little better though.

I never use Ford dealers, except for recalls. The prices suck, they always try to sell you a new vehicle when you just want something fixed, and half the time they mess something else up when fixing your vehicle.

Only been to mine once, and they had the part I was looking for and the info I needed. So they have been great to me.:D

the only time i went their to buy something, was a special vial of nail polish that matched my trucks original color.... those bottles are expensive but was very good quality.... .when i go there for parts, they know nothing and try to tell me that 31s will make my truck roll easier.... when i tell them i took off the swaybars they almost pee their pants ;)

well, we've bought every ford we've ever owned from the same dealer, so theyre good like that, but service is another story. i dont like to take my truck to a dealership for anything because they have one guy that does brakes, one guy that does electrical, one for this this, one guy for that, etc, so if you have something more complicated than installing new shocks, odds are its going to be a major ordeal with a dealership. they never find problems that you tell them that are occurring, they have problems with mods, blah blah blah.

Mine is not too bad. Anytime I need something from a service manual the give me photo copies for free, and I didnt even buy my truck from them.

they suck.... when I went in about 25k miles ago with problems with my transmisison they up and replced it under warranty.. on the drive home from this work it was doing the same thing as my 1st transmission.. I told them... they say "its fine" they never again opened this transmission, never gave me a chance to fix it wihle the transmission was still under its own warranty. 25k miles later.. its still doing it.. worse than ever and they still wont work on it, infact they swear by their own certifications that my car is 100% fine "except for the mods you've done" and that the 4R70W is "a picky transmission" and that "You're just asking too much, you can't expect it to keep up with traffic, its an suv" 2 thumbs and 2 big toes down for my ford dealership and ever other ford dealership in augusta GA

Mine's been mixed. Only been there for parts.. Once, the guy knew what I wanted and had it in stock, found it no problem... Even found other stuff I asked about... Another time I asked someone (I think service guy maybe) about my cargo windows leaking and that I needed new seals... He said some blah blah about a water test to find where they were leaking.. I knew exactly where they were leaking but he didn't seem to understand...

Sometime later on I called about getting new seals from them... They said call ACME glass.. I called them, they said call ford... WTF? Nobody got brand new seals?

I've had mixed reactions from dealers. Usually I don't deal with them; too much sticker shock vs. aftermarket parts suppliers. When I find a "dealer only" part, sometimes they're better than others. A month ago, I was looking for a Trac-loc rebuild kit for my BII. The local dealer took 30 seconds and told I was SOL, end of discussion. Tried another dealer parts department, and he took about ten minutes of looking through his computer, but he found it.

Where I bought the truck, McInerney (orlando FL) was crappy...then they moved and became Greenway, THEY SUCK more than a $2...... nevermind

I took mine to Don Reid for warranty service and it came out pretty good. Got to be friends with my service writer and he treated me excellent. They washed my truck for me sometimes too even when I brought it in dirty. Parts guys are generally nice and helpful too.

Well, I can't really say that "my" Ford dealer sucks cause I bought my X from a used car dealer. But the Ford dealer down here, Kelly Ford, absolutely sucks. Last year I took my X in for the Firestone tire replacement, and spent all day arguing with several service reps, each with their own excuse, that my tire was part of the recall. I ended up just waisting all my time and they never replaced it.

Love my Ford dealer. But I have to srive over 20mins to get to them. The trash one thats 5mins away is aweful and is the reason Ford gets a bad reputation sometimes... Go Fairport Ford service dept. U guys rock my socks.

The Best!

1. So Cal - They can make mistakes, but over all they excellent! San Juan Capistrano - Parts department, you can just walk in and say, "You know the part that goes by the parts that make the thing turn?" And they'll print a diagram, bam, there it is. Open til midnite!

2. No Cal - The best (at the time) Suburban Ford in Sacramento County off I80 (name changed) Once they service your vehicle, you can be sure it will be fine! Also, they check the TSB and make sure they tell you what was done.

Professional service all around from both!

Anderson Ford is the place to go, some of the SVT guys go there for tuning and such. Awesome work and really nice fellows.

I have 2 Ford dealers near me, and another one pretty far away. Unfortunately, I've had bad experiences with all of them, and will only buy from them if I can't get what I need anywhere else. It's impossible to get an appointment in their service department. The mechanics won't even tell you what a code # is unless you pay to have them scan it with their equipment. They sometimes order the wrong part, then blame you for not making clear what you need. They once ordered a transmission which was defective, and did nothing even though it was under a warranty. The sales department won't let you take a car you want to buy for a test drive, and won't even put gas in a car for you before they sell you a car. If you buy a car from them, and have a problem, they say that they don't have an appointment slot available for you, and tell you to go to another Ford dealer to have it serviced. Other dealerships won't take vehicles for service if they know that it was recently purchased from their competition. Maybe other dealers are better out of my area. This rant is from my personal experience, and not second hand information.

I like the ford dealer that is an hour away but whenever i go into the one in manhattan for parts they talk to me like i am an idiot whether i know exactly what i am looking for or not and that really p*sses me off.

I took mine there to get the cruise control recall serviced, took them maybe 20 minutes. I also ended up buying an exterior drivers side door handle and latch as mine were not working. Had the parts in a day and the door handle was the right color... I tried getting prices on tires too, just to see how much they would run (supposed to be competitively priced), but they wouldn't give me a price on 31s, until I said something to the manager... Prices weren't that bad, but found a slightly better deal.
