I have a 98 Ford Explorer XLT (not for sure, but I think I have premium sound) and I just bought a new deck, a Dual CD770 (http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4891100) and the wiring harness that as far as I know will work. Problem: I can't get the wires to match up right .. its weird .. just wondering if anyone can help me or give me a diagram or something .. im about to go nuts.. thanks

you need to go to an exectronics store and get a wiring harness that converts the stock ford to fit an aftermarket deck, its likt 20 bucks at cirtuit city or best buy

They also do have these wiring harnesses at walmart, probably about ten feet down from where you got the deck, this is where i purchased mine and it has'nt failed me yet, it's made by scosche. The CD deck you purchased SHOULD have a wiring diagram in the back of the instruction manual, which, unless you are colorblind like myself, is pretty self explanitory. Some of the colors dont match up to the same colors, (IE:speaker wires are normally purple and will match up with another color like grey on the harness).

the speaker wires are on the bottom of page three, if your looking for the diagram of the wiring harness, it should say it on the package of the wire harness, not completely sure what you are asking for..

Oh my fault wasnt didn't see them .. I'll try it tommarrow and let you know .. appreicate it

Seems I got all the wires connected correctly, eject works but nothing else (lights, power, etc).. fuses are fine but the orange / orange+white arent connected (harness) cause theres no more wires on the cd player wiring.. HELP
