Just noticed that when I pull key from ignition my headlights are turning off. They're in the auto position. They used to stay on along with the puddle lamps and interior lights for 20 seconds or so after exiting the vehicle. Now only the puddle lamps and interior lights are staying on for those 20 seconds. Anyone know how I can fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you've always had them in the auto position when removing the key? You're describing exactly what my explorer does - lights on auto and key removed and the headlights turn off but the courtesy lamps remain on for 20 seconds or so.

This seems to be proper behavior to me.

I'm pretty sure. Ive only had this truck about 2 weeks. I would "assume" that if I didn't have them in the auto position they would stay on until I manually turned them off. I recall them staying on after I exit the vehicle as well as puddle lights and interior lights. Maybe, just maybe the medicine for those darn kidney stones had me delusional.
