Anyone hear anything good or bad about Detroit Axle Hubs?
The reason I ask is I am having problems with the traction control engaging after 60 MPH.
Prior to changing my hubs I did not have a problem.

Front hub assemblies ?

Is Detroit Axle Hubs the manufacturer or just the distributor ?

Check the box whether it was made in China, and they just sell it. I had issues with front hubs that I bought cheap on eBay and they were from China.

Detroit Axle is the company name. I don't have the boxes anymore but I am sure they were made in China. I paid $134.99 for two front hub assemblies.

Don't do it, I did, went bad in 3 months and then they wanted me to pay return shipping and a $60.00 inspection charge to have them check them and send new ones out. I ended up replacing them with Motorcraft ones from Amazon.com at a fair price.

Same with me, I bought a Chinese one, replaced it on the truck, dropped it of the jack and it was already broken :) right away. The wheel was wiggling ...

Cheapo Chinese crap! I used Motorcraft on mine. They use timkin bearings. I suspect a possible reason is since it is a low quality product, they probably used crappy abs speed sensors.
Motorcraft parts all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay... I should have asked here first.
I replaced my hubs last night and it fixed all problems.
I tried to price match a Timken hub with Rock Auto (167.99 per hub)) and Auto Zone (361.99 per Hub) and Auto Zone stated their policy did not cover online prices.
Advanced Auto parts did price match with no questions asked all I had to do is give them the print out from Rock Auto...Moog Hub - Rock Auto (168.79) Advanced Auto 320.99 per hub... What a saving, if I did not need to get this fixed fast I would have ordered from Rock Auto.

Thanks again.

i replace my drivers front with a hub from a company named GMB. made in China, got it off Amazon for $60. so far so good. few months now. knock on wood. lol!

The Detroit Axle hub was sending false signals to my computer causing all kind of problems.

Good luck and I hope the GMB hub keeps you on the road.

I have the same one and it has been close to a year. No problems knock on wood.

Lol! Yeah, so far so good. Good reviews on Amazon. That and price is the only reason I bought it.
