Engine light on. Codes show 157 MAF. I do believe that it could be grounded. Anyone know how to diagnose the MAF? ohms? Don't want to buy one and still have the same problem. Already cleaned the MAF with Q-tip and throttle body cleaner, still code 157.

ahh i cant describe it all. just pick up a haynes or chiltons manual and it tells you how to do everything.
by the way ive been running code 157 and my MAF is broken. im trying to get a new one cheap. hope yours isnt like this. try cleaning it and see whats up. just a question...does your battery gauge needle stay towards the O in normal?? mine was always stuck at the N and the O but when i put a new MAF in it was always at the A and the L. interesting huh. well good luck!

Fixed

I broke down an bought a reconditioned MAF for $120. No engine light and no more stumble. EX runs fine now. Never bothered to check where the needle was or is now. I'll check though. Thanks

Mike

I checked and found out that I am operating in the "A".

The diagnostic of the MAF is something about levels of volts on its terminals ...I read it in a book that I don't have right now ...but I'll look it maybe on monday or tuesday ...so, I'll tell you! ... OK ?
