I'm in the process of painting my trim black with plastidip and thought I'd do something a little different than anything I've seen on here so far.

I painted that little piece of trim above the running boards black. I've done the front and the side, the rear trim is tomorrow. It's over 100 degrees here in southeast Georgia everyday so can't stay outside for too long without dying, so I'm spreading it out the painting over a couple days. Then it's hitting the rear lights with VHT nightshades, taking off the running boards, maybe painting the rims black, and by the end of next month getting myself a bull bar. I wish I could do the body lift, but I don't have the tools for it. If you live in Atlanta and have the tools and want to do it with/for me next week, I'll pay you!

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Nice! you should get creative with some black accents on the wheels

Ebay a bull bar from "truck gear direct". Their pretty cheap, look good and the company was helpful. They sent me the wrong stuff, then sent me the right one and let me keep the one they sent wrong. Cant beat good service!

I have read some posts on here about people painting their trim and having problems with it peeling off really soon. How is yours holding up?

lookin good

It's holding up really well actually. I've taken it through the car wash a few times and it still looks great, hasn't faded or come off at all. I scraped some the other day by accident and I just peeled it right off and painted it again. Admittedly I wish I had one of these http://www.amazon.com/Rust-oleum-243546-Spray-Grip-Handle/dp/B000DZFE44 to make the paint look better and not as splotchy, I don't know what other word to use to describe it, but plastidip is great. If I were to do it over again I'd probably go Krylon Fusion, but I'm still happy with the way it turned out.

I did the krylon fusion route for mine, it's held up well. Been on for about two months now, no fade. And if it gets a scrape in it I just take the fusion can and spray it again!
