Difference between Pioneer and Premier?

Okay, I have decided on the Pioneer DEH-P7300 headunit. But I was on Ebay looking for a deal on one and found the Premier DEH-P730 and it looked like the exact same thing. I analyzed the specs for both of them and the only thing the Premier had that the Pioneer didn't was the 2 year warranty. Is the Premier just better quality, or are they the exact same headunit?

it is the same... pioneer makes the premier... like sony makes the xplod series.....

Jim is right. Premier is Pioneer's top shelf/high quality line. They come with a high quality price too. You can usually get the "same" radio labeled Pioneer, but there are some differences...the warranty is apparently one of them. Other than that, I'm not sure what will be different. Speculating...It's most likely going to wind up being cool, but unnecessary, features that they add onto the Premier line, not functionality enhancements.

It basicly is the same. I've had both. however, it has a few moreuseless features. I had a premier 9200 an it had more useless stuff on it.

the premier model you mentioned isn't that much more expensive than the regular pioneer. like $10. anyway the premier does have more features, and some of the are very useful. the built in high pass and low pass crossovers are very useful features. and the built in eq is great too. i think the premier is well worth the extra $10. even if you aren't planning a huge system.

i forgot to add that the premier line usually offers a non fading sub output that isn't available on the regular pioneer line.

the Xplod series is sonys lower end. the ES series is the top of the line. ES series headunits are the only sony car audio i would use. their amps are pretty decent too, but the subs leave much to be desired. anyway, the Xplod series is the cheap stuff with few features, and lower preamp voltage.

i'm not saying it's bad, just that the ES series is the top of the line. that's all. my wife's parents have an Xplod cd player in their minivan, and it's fine for them too.

They are basically the same ecept for the wartrant a few more not need crap and all the Premieres come with gold plate rca OHHHHHH.
