Differential Repair in Austin, TX

I posted a few days ago regarding a differential noise problem I had on my 2003 Explorer.....thanks to all of you that have helped.

Is there anyone out there from the Austin, Tx area that might know a good differential repair shop I can use or someone I can talk to that might know a good place????

Austin Drivetrain or now Inland Truck Parts of Austin. I'm 99.9% sure they do diff work on site..I know they def. have a drive shaft shop..

Hey thanks for the input. I have heard of these people but don't know much about their work. Do you know of anyone who has used them and are they reputable??? Only review online was not too good.

People don't typically write good things on the net, ya know...I'm in NJ so I don't use them but they are a customer of mine and I know they do A LOT of work which usually means they'd be good if theyre always busy. You can ask for Darren, he's a nice guy. I have always watnted to try top notch though.

Being in Austin you have to find the people that will take care of your problems... This is the place for driveline issues... They worked with me on an aluminum driveshaft problem with one of my v8 conversion Rangers and they had all the parts in-house...And they really seem to be knowledgeable and able to show you what will work and what won't and why...

I have also worked with Scotty's Driveshaft out on south Airport for driveshaft issues.. I don't know if they can or do handle differential problem though..

My neighbor across the street referred me to a local Ford dealer near where we live. He is good friends with the service manager. I told the service manager I had quoted Austin Drivetrain and he said bring my explorer in and let him evaluate the problem and he would see what he could do to be competitive. His quote was only $120 more to do a complete rebuild with the r/p gear and bearing kit. Just picked up the car yesterday and with exception of a slight noise at 60 mph that goes away at about 62 mph it is totally silent. Right now I'm happy.
FYI - he did tell me that Austin Drivetrain did very good work, probably why he was competitive cause he knew that's probably where I was headed. Dealership is much closer also.
BTW, who is Red???
