Dimmer switch problem

So my dimmer control switch has been screwy lately. ive only noticed it since i installed the led's in my dome light, etc. but maybe its been doing it before that and i just didnt notice. if i dim the switch it works all the way down, then i slowly go all the way up and once it hits the highest point, before it clicks for the interior light, the lights just dim and stay off, then if i move it down just a bit, they come back on and stay on. is this the dimmer control module thats screwy or is it just how the vehicle is, or what?

Ya, I think the dimmer wheel is not quite right. But, if you know how to work with it...so what?
If your ganna pull the dash to do some other work I would replace it but I wouldnt worry about it unless it just stops working.
