no if you search this is related to the brown wire mod. when you pull the fuses you should get some 4x4 lights on the dash, this will keep it in rear wheel drive, explained more in depth in other threads, how are your tires? are they worn unevenly? maybe one or more than one tire is worn down more than the others causing it to slip slightly and cause the truck to kick in the 4x4 this can damage the transfer case over time, make sure you dont do alot of burnouts either with the fuses out cause this will casue damage to...

I had this problem too. Brown wire mod FTW!

This Brings up a ??

Please, you guys "in the know"......Does ALL power delivered to the front driveshaft go through the electric clutch? Or, is it bypassed in 4X4 LOW, that then being a real 4-Wheel lock-up?

I DO know the clutch delivers power in both 4X4 AUTO and 4X4 HIGH.

Thanks! imp

the old tires i had on it was worn pretty bad....i herd that will cause it to go into 4x4 sometimes..i pulled fuse's befor but i put back in after i got 4 new tires...jus wonderin if it would cause any problems?? sometimes its fun to have 2wd:)
