Does anybody know which wire from the transmission can be disconnected to disable the auto-door lock feature when the car is put into Drive? I want to keep the auto-lock feature from the key fob tho.
DON'T disconnect wires....just read the manual and disable the feature! It tells how in my manual...if you don't have one I can tell you how..you just use the keypad on the door to disable it! If you need any more help let me know. ALso it's when you take your foot off the brake that the doors lock..not the trans.
Hey, I am also interested in this disable function. I can't tell you how many times, while servicing the car that I have locked myself out (very quickly got a hide-a-key). So you are right on when you say it isn't the tranny that activates this. I do not have the keypad, nor a 'key-fob' remote device. I do not, however, wish to screw up the rest of the locking actions. I can't find anything in the manual.
