distraught with what to do about custom cargo liner i just got

i just got that custom fit cargo liner from performance products as a gift (its the really nice one that costs like $120), and im a little annoyed to find out that on the side panel of the cargo liner, in the truck, theres no hole in it for my sub (i have a 10" sub in a q-logic stealth box.)

heres my dilemma. i havent tried to put the liner in the truck yet, so i dont even know how well it fits yet, but im assuming that fits like a velvet glove (i wanna wait till i can really give the cargo area a good cleaning before i bother installing it), but should i even bother trying to mess with it?...should i just send it back?...or should i just cut a hole in the liner for the sub?...other ideas? the liner is made of vinyl, so im sure that i could cut the hole very nicely, and it would look good, and i could secure it 1 of 2 ways:

1) velcro it to the interior panel, like the rest of the liner

2) take the "cover panel" off the sub and run the liner behind it and then reinstall the "cover panel" over the liner, exposing the sub and the "cover panel" while sealing the edge of the liner.

what do you guys think?

lemme find my digital camera, and ill have pics up in like 20 min.

edit: heres links to the pics (theyre kinda big, sorry, i didnt have time to shrink em or crop em or anything.) i only took pics of one of the side pieces (theres a side piece for each side and one for the floor/back of seats.) this piece is for the driver side (its the first one i grabbed.) the last pic is a pic of the catalog that comes with the liner - it shows the liner installed in an explorer trunk (sorry its a lil blurry.)

That sounds like a good idea. Thats wat i would do atleast.

Ah, it's a soft liner, ok. Was wondering how far it went up and if it was hard or soft.

How often do you carry wet loads, and do you want the sub more protected?

I say cut it. Stuffing the liner behind the sub would still leave the sub vulnerable, and IMO wouldn't give you much more than just cutting it and leaving a nice edge.

i NEVER carry wet loads back there im not too worried about protecting the sub - im gonna come up with something else to protect it, either using the supplied mesh screen that came with it that doesnt fit worth a damn, or ill make my own out of something.

Here's my suggestion, Cut around the sub area leaving about an inch overhang, place the sub cover overtop the liner sandwhiching it between the trim panel and the sub cover. I think it would give it a smooth custom look that way. Other than that, I don't know

yeah, thats one of the options i thought of before; i still dont know what im gonna do, though i have decided to keep it and cut it somehow

What's the liner made out of? Is it a vinyl type material or cloth? If it's cloth, you can just install it right over the sub and the sound should haveno problem coming through. If it's an airtight vinyl material, the material will flap around with the bass, so that wouldn't work. Also, just think about perforating the material where the sub would be.

its vinyl. i dont think perforating would work. i have to punch a hell of a lot of holes in it, and it would still flap around. im just gonna cut it, but i dont know which way im gonna cut it yet.
