On my 99 the 31" has nothing to do with blinking OD light this only started 1 year after out of nowhere. The light started blinking and od was gone since then four days shifting from first to second will go to high rpm and once releasing the gas shifts. Tranny guy here wants to do a rebuild but he is the only one in the area. Contacted another since the first never gave me any codes 1 1/2 hours away, he said first he will check it to see what the problem really is. I have never need to change anything for my speedo for shifting and always worked fine until now. Going 33" is a big jump and will be a great change, power loss, fuel economy and of course harder on trans, needing more power to move them. For me if I want the exact speed I check my GPS
