Do Explorers v8 have Idle speed control valve ?

My 2006 EB v8 with 114 K miles ocasionaly dies when coming to a stop. I suspect an idle speed control valve based on my experience with other cars, but do the new exploreres with 4.6 3v have those as well ?

its electronically controlled through the throttle body.

thats correct, its now controlled through the pcm, by adjusting the butterfly.

try cleaning the throttle body.
 






Great, thanks. That's my next step: cleaning the TB.
