Do Halo headlight assemblies exist for the 99 Mountaineer?

Hello everyone! My name is D and I'm from Morgantown, WV. Recently I took ownership of my mother's 99 Mountaineer. I've already switched to LED headlights but I've come to find myself liking the Halo headlight assembly. After searching online for a few days I've come to the conclusion that there is none available for specific year of model. But I haven't given up yet! So now my question is, is there any halo assembly available on the market that will fit the 99 mount possibly with a few MINOR modifications or just maybe I was never looking in the right place if they're available. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Welcome, and I wish you luck. I haven't seen any aftermarket choices for the 98-01 Mountaineers. I like the stock headlights, but I'd be interested to see anything new.

Yea the stock headlight assembly isn't horrible. I don't mind them but I'd like to change the look of it. But I guess I'll have to stay with the original. Thanks sir for your reply.

Also, have you considered changing the grille? The last two models had a painted grille trim level option. I'm not thrilled with the large chrome appearance, and the painted versions work better for me. I got a green one ages ago, and a Mercury emblem from a 3rd gen Mountaineer. I began fitting the emblem into the grille and it will fit without much effort(some whittling away of plastic on the back). That should help a lot depending on how you like the chrome version.

One option, although NOT easy, is to make the swap to 1997 or earlier headlights and grille. Those headlights are available in Halo styles. Here is my 96 Explorer with a Mountaineer grille...

Very true, the 97 Mountaineer began with the 95-01 Explorer headlights, and that one model year grille.
