Do I need a steering extender with 3" BL?

I just received my 3" PA body lift, and the installation instructions said I need a steering extender. I heard that I didn't need one when and bought it off 4wheelparts.com and it didn't say on the website I needed one. So my question is do I need it?

I did not need one, installed mine 6 months ago, gone wheeling about 5 times since and drive the life out of the thing.

With the 3", yes. With the 2", you could get by without one.

steering extender

If you got a PA883 ?? 3 inch body lift it has a steering extender in it.
It is in the bag with all the long bolts.

And yes if you have it why take a chance and not use it?? I dont think I would like my steering column to pull apart at the wrong moment.. Could kinda make a day turn really bad fast.

Ah thanks a lot. I got it in the bag with the bolts.
