I just ordered a set of Bridgestone Duelers 30x9.5x15 for my Sport from Sams Club (they were the cheapest around) and they said they wont mount them for me because it is an oversize tire. Fortunately, my brother works for Nissan and said he would mount them for me (no warranty of course) but I have read on here that a TT/shackle lift will keep them from rubbing on turns and dips. Do I need to do this? I want to anyways, but I just spent almost $600.00 on tires and cant really afford to right now. Will they work on stock suspension good enough to get me through winter? I sure hope so.

TT=Free
Shackles~ $60.00
Alignment ~$60.00

But Costco said that they would install some 31's on my stock 97 sport, couldn't aford them then so I can not speak from personal experience, but they were willing to put them in...

I just had 31.5x10.5 installed with a full road hazard package from Sams club last summer.
I dont know if it matters from state to state, 'cause I have heard stories from others from diff states, saying Sams would, and would not install larger than stock tires. I did do a TT and war 153 shackles b/4 I had the tires installed. I dont know if that made a diff or not.

You don't need to do anything to your truck with 30x9.5. That's almost standard size, maybe a little bit wider, but that's it. Sam's club doesn't know that they're talking about.

I just mounted 31 x 10.5 x 15 Goodyear Wrangler AT SilentArmor on my stock 01' 4 door 4x4. The front tires rubbed the front lower spoiler a bit when turning but I just cut them back a bit with an air saw, maybe 1.5" off. Any decent hack saw would do, it just plastic. Just relocate the self tapping screw to hold the lip secure again.
