Hello all. First time poster. Be gentle! :) Here's my question: My '98 rocks pretty severely side to side when I back out of my driveway. Also the rear end will sometimes "shift" a little side to side when I hit a bump at highway or slightly slower speeds. Yet when I go over bumps (speed bumps in parking lots, neighborhoods, train tracks, etc.) at slower speeds I don't really notice any excessive up and down movement in the truck. Help!

Yes, the hopping in the back end when you hit bumps at highway speeds is a sign you need new ones. Mine did the same thing - new shocks fixed it.

If you have the originals on the truck there is no doubt they are worn out.

I'm running Monroe Sensatracs, and I am happy with them.
