I just bought this 1993 2door 4x4 sport. It has a 4.0 5speed tranny. The oil pan is leaking, and yes i did try to tightend the pan. I have been told that i need to pull and/or maybe lift up the engine. I have in the past had issues with other vehicles, but always been able to shimmy out the pan. Please help me out. I need to fix some small problems ,and then i can start with my 4in lift you all can help!!! But i guess one question at a time

ive heard that people have been able to do it by jacking them motor up but they also had the exhaust and arms and crosmembers off.i dont think it can be done with everything still on there.might try it wile your doing your lift.being a 93 make sure you clean that pan im sure its clear full off goop and i would suggest putting in a high flow oil pump and clean the screen,it will help with the low oil pressure that the 4.0 has.

Thank you..I was thinking about doing it while i had the front torn apart for the lift, but it bothers me ya know..!! I hate when stuff leaks. I never thought about a high flow pump i will look into that. I will be taking notes...THANKS AGIAN!!

o yea i hear you,i tried to pull the pan first and could not do it,witch gave me a reason to do my motor build.everyone is scared of high flow pump but this pump is not really a HIGH flow pump it was made for the 4.0 low oil problems,i run it and it works very well, shut the lifters up!!
