First, this is my favorite site on the web and everyone here is extremely helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Thank you all for putting in the time to educate us newbies and compile such a fantastic resource for Explorer owners.

I'd like to do about 2-3" of suspension lift on my '91. I was going to do it myself using either coil spacers or just longer coils (& shocks) for the front. However, if I do this, won't my radius arms and axle pivots be wrong? I know I can order axle pivot drop brackets from JC Whitney, but can I order radius arm drop brackets anywhere? And, in the end, would it just be easier and safer to order a matched set like the James Duff setup? I have lots of experience wrenching on cars/trucks, but I do like everything to fit together correctly with minimum "fabrication" and minimum problems. (I'm also planning to use the F150 spring pack method for the rear, which was so eloquently described by "bronco638")

Also, if I combine this with a 2" body lift, will I need to change anything else, like the steering linkages, pitman arm, brake lines, etc?

Thank you all so much for your input and assistance!

If you only want 2-3 "of lift get the James Duff kit if you want more than 2-3" then buy the Skyjacker stage 2 6" lift.
With 2-3" of lift you don't need to worry about steering or braking issues.
I have had both James duff and Skyjacker lift and I am now moving on to a solid front axle, I never had a problem with either lift.
