Hey forum! I have a 91 with the a4ld trans. I blew my pump the other weekend and after I replaced it, I put the trans back in. While cleaning up I found the dust shield (the metal gasket that separates the transmission and the engine) laying around. Do I need to drop the trans again to put it on or screw it? It is on a mud truck but when I dropped the trans in the first place, there wasn't even a dust shield. The inside of the bell housing was just a little muddy. Do I need to drop the trans again to put it on or should I just say screw it? Thanks!
