Does this thing come off?

I am thinking of removing the long molding that runs where my nerfbars would be if I had them. The part that is about 3 inchs tall, right under my doors, same material and color as the body. I dont like the way the thing sticks out. I think it would look alot better without it. On my 95, it looks like it is attached in each wheel well by a couple screws. Has anyone done this? Does it look good? Is there more holding that thing on then I think?

Tupperware removal....

Yes, that stuff will come off. I refer to it as tupperware. I removed one side at Moab and the other at home. There was a screw holding in the cap section behind the fron tires, can't remeber if there was another cap at the back or not. The middle section pops out. It is held in place with the plastic body tabs, so you need to pry them out for removal, similar to removing a door panel.

Once they are removed you will have holes exposed in your lower rocker panels. You can cover these with plastic tabs that are sold at any nut an bolt supply store. The will just push in place and then you do not have to worry about water and mud getting in there.

WOw i see why you call it tupperware! Definitly thought that stuff was the same as the hull. I havnt found the right tabs yet. All the ones AutoZone had were too small. The holes are like half inch diameter. Its not how I thought but I think I like it. Thanks for the info...

hey if sopmeone wants to get rid of their "tupperware" for a 92 ex sport dirt cheap lemme know I have no rocker panels and replacing is big $ so what ya cant fix hide I always say hehe
