Maybe I am knit picking - but I noticed while I was clearing off some ice on the Explorer that the sunroof does not sit flush with the roof of the car (in particular the front part of the roof) its only for the roof portion that opens. I have deezee running boards so its easy for me to check the roof and I was wondering if anyone else has this issue...its not causing any issues but I would rather have it sit right...

The glass on the moving porting sits slighlty lower than the roof on my vehicle.

thanks Iceracer - a fellow Canadian..i am located in Woodbridge...i guess this is the its supposed to be...ill check out a few at the dealers (if possible)...anyone else's roof sit a bit lower?

The sliding glass is very easy to adjust vertically. Look on the inside edges just above the tracks for a screw. Loosen the screws on both sides just a little and push up on the glass while looking at it from the outside. Tighten screws when it's flush. Careful of going too high with the glass or you'll get wind noise up there.

The opening (rear) part of the front panel is exactly level with the front edge of the larger moonroof panel (Pic #1 ). The front edge of the opening panel is level with the roof in both front corners. It is below the roof in the middle but that is due to the curvature of the roof (Pic #2 ). It is not a defect. The glass panel is flatter than the curved roof.
