Need some suggestions. Ive decided to buy the knoxk off magna flo high flow cats from flomonster ( not master) in 2.25" . I;m going to run that back in the same 2.25 size as stock hit a Flomaster 50 suv (dual 2.5 inlet X single 3"out). Attach 2.25 to 2.5 conectors direct to muffler. A 3"X2.5 direct to outlet. With 2.5 out the back. I put some thought into it I wanted to slightly increase flo and hp with almost no torque loss. Letting the less ristictive cats increase the cfms not pipe size. Why the huge muffler with little pipes? the larger the muff the less drone. with 3" out i think ill lose my back pressure and maybe become rice in a tin can. I hate that honda sound. My stock exaust is done. it worked for 200K its plugged up bad!
So anyways I need some help. I noticed the stock cats have like a turn as they connect the cat itself isnt straight? wtf ford. Most high flos done have any sheilding im afraid of heating up the tranny.
Has anyone tried relocating the cats 1st thing as it goes straight. That would require me to move the rear o2s 12" downstream. The wire can be extented but my concern is will the cpu get angry with me? Being the cats and rear o2s will be in a different location. anyone tried?
also I looked at these flomonster mufflers anyone tried em.... Im not gonna be the guinee pig
