Dome light lens for a1997 super cab

Today I went to the junkyard to pick up a lens for my dome light. They only had a 1999 supercab, but I thought it looked the same. It doesn't fit. What year range do I need to look for to get the correct lens?

..Look at the 95-97 models...You can get lucky and find these sometimes, at your local auto parts in their Help section...

Most lenses fit 92-02 rangers. I got this off of a 1999, any idea why it wont fit?

Mine is a supercab as was the one at the junkyard. I guess I should have taken the whole dome light unit and swaped it out instead of just the lens.:
