I was just changing my dome light when the crazy flat contacts that control the dome and reading light touched and I lost all window function. Domes are still out. I Changed the relay ($16) in the engine bay, that was the only thing that the manual said controled the windows. All other fuses are still good. Has any one ever had this problem?

Look in your manual for the fuse for the "Delayed Accessories"
Had this happen on a 3rd gen, fuse 17 if memory serves me right. Most likely different number on a 2nd gen.

Checked both fuse boxes, all are good. When the wires shorted I saw a very small spark and I heard a click in the fuse box by the drivers door. After checking all the fuses, each one is intact. The crazy thing is that the fuse that controls the windows also controls the power seats, I have now window power but I do have sear control. Still baffled

Found the fuse! It was #26. Had blown in such a way that it was only a hairline blow and I needed a flashlight from behind the fuse to see it. Still have the problem of the dome light/ reading light. Passenger has a light but the driver does not. The construction of the dome module is about as good as the door latches.
Thanks for the help guys. I knew it had to be a simple fix I was just getting frustrated.

What does fuse 26 control?

For those who thought I might of been illiterate I have been updating from my iphone and the auto correct guessed wrong on several of my last posts:D.

Fuse # 26 controls a lot of the cab functions and one of the last things is the interior light relay control. Maybe I am revealing my age but I was looking for "dome light". I had to rush the diagnoses because my wife and I were going out and I was trying to get the car buttoned up before we had to go. So I was just skimming the page for the term I knew was supposed to be there. The click I heard when I lost power turned out to be the relay opening after the fuse blew, so I was looking in the wrong area to begin with.

Glad you found it :)
