dome light

I have a '93 limited explorer with the dome lights in the front with temperature guage. Well i installed the blue lights to make the interior look cool but now one burnt out and one still is in there but the one that burnt out i replaced witha regular bulb and it wont ever go off they do not come on when the doors open like they are suppose to they work if you turn them on by hand but not if you open the door. Anyone got any ideas i would like to know

Try spraying the pin switches on the door jam with wd-40. Shake and wiggle them a little bit. They might be stuck. That could be the reason why when you open the door the dome light does not open.

NO just the front dome light doesn't work the others do i have the limited model with the temperature and dome lights and the system which tells you your direction your going
