Adding a Dome Light

So in my Sport I have one dome light in the front over the dashboard and another dome light that for all intents and purposes is only good for lighting the trunk.

So I guess my question is... has anyone ever added an extra dome light?

So your Sport has an overhead console where the dome is? You could get a dome light from an Explorer that doesn't have an overhead console which fits between the front two seats and wire it in to the overhead console. I have done the opposite, added overhead consoles by wiring them into the dome light.

The front has an overhead console with a light built into it, more of a map light than a dome light i guess. The sport has two lights overhead, one dome for the trunk and one in the front overhead console. I want to put another dome light between the two that already exist, where there is no wiring...

Yeah on Explorers that don't have an overhead console there is a dome light that sits right in between the front two seats. You could put one there and just wire it into the overhead console.
