i have a 92 explorer and about a week ago i got in and started the car and my stereo would not work at all no power i checked the fuses and finally after pulling a fuse and putting it back in the stereo started working again BUT ,.. my dome lights , trunk light and door lights stayed on and no matter what i do they do not go off when i shut the door or turn the ignition unless i remove the fuse , also my car alarm has been acting funny ever since chirpping twice like its going off instead of once when i turn it on ond off , this is really annoying and i'm wondering if its the alarm causing this , i've put my alarm in silent mode so thats not really bothering me that much but the light are , any suggestions or advise ?:redexp:

I have had this problem before. Replace the Driver Side Door pin. (the little thingy that sense you close the door. Good Luck

Me too, same fix.

I had a problem with my rear hatch. it did not sit properly on the mounts that hold it closed, causing the light to stay on. if the drivers door switch doesnt do it, push in the latch on the hatch on the drivers side, as-if you were closing it. That should do it if it has the same problem as mine does. After i realized it was my hatch, i just adjusted the height of the hatch and now it works fine.
