Hi

my Ex passed its MOT but I was told that my anti roll bar link was shot and making a noise, ordered a new one which arrived today, I had nothing to do so I thought only two nuts easy, jacked up the front took off the wheel, started on the link and it snapped one half fell out other half needed a gentle persuader, fitted the new one put the wheel back dropped it off the jack, on the road test I have a grinding noise from the brake, with my limited knowledge I can only think I have dislodged some dirt into the brake pads, or will one of you know better.

When you took the wheel off the disc came loose. Rust on the hub has got behind the flange of the disc so that when you put the wheel back on the disc is no longer parallel to the hub. Solution is to take the disc off and clean the inside surface that goes against the hub flange. All will be well again. I know because it happened to me too.:D

Hi Howard

Howard to the rescue again the problem was exactly what you said.

Can we not nominate him for a knighthood or something for services to the Explorer forum.

Cheers

Terry
