Door chime wont stop

When my door is open and my lights are off and keys are out of the ignition my door chime still rings. Is it easy to fix this? If not is it easy to cut the wire that makes the chime? thanks for your help

Wife's ranger had the same problem. Its the door switch inside the door connected to the latching mechanism. You may be able to just spray some electrical cleaner inside the latch. Or like me, I just disconnected it under the kick panel.

Or it may be the ignition switch.
