Anyone have a guide on how to change this out? Someone has punched it in with a screwdriver

ive taken off the panel and have access to the back of the cylinders. There seems to be an electrical component attached to the back of the cylinder but there doesnt seem to be a connection between the 2. it seems its just attached to the back, but no electrical connections.

Do it have anything to do with the PATs system, because that's my main problem right now, not starting.

i thought id fix this just in case it has anything to do with it. and plus im getting tired of opening the door from the passenger side.

I have a 98 Explorer

door locks aren't connected to pats.
did they damage the door too?

No damage to door. Everything worked fine even after driver side lock was damaged. Then all of a sudden truck won't start. Thought pats was conn maybe.

Oh well time to fix this anyways.

What about matching a key with the ignition. Is this possible ? Or will I have diff key for door & ignition
