It is either the remote if you are using it or the door lock actuators are bad.

No, i am not using the remotes to lock the doors, but it does work to lock and unlock the doors. It just wont unlock on both door panels.

I am thinking maybe a clip that hooks the rods together broke.

Ok checked for a broke clip/rod and everything looks like it should I'm starting to lean towards the bsm in the trunk I think one of the relays might be going bad

definately relays burning up....especially since it works to lock but not unlock. check to make sure connections are solid before changing, could be loose connection

also there is a history of the wires in the door boot breaking, open ground wires, frayed wires. . .its in the rubber boot between the door and jamb. . .most likely driver sides.

I fixed those broken wires about a week or two ago and reclaimed my power mirrors and the keyless entry.the thing i don't understand is that the doors will unlock from the keyless entry but not either panel switch.that's what made me lean away from the relay so I'm back at the drewing board.

If the locks work but not with the switches, I would think it was a broken wire like jrford mentioned. You say you fixed the wires already but there may have been more broken or damaged. Also there is a possibility that your repairs have failed. I'm not second guessing your work, just throwing out ideas.

I don't mind second guessing bc it was very hard to crimp those wires inside that small space I'll check it Friday bc I won't be able to get to the vehicle till Friday but I'll take any ideas I can get

I am having the exact same problem with my 2004 Sport Trac. I have read that there is a security feature that disables the interior unlock buttons shortly after the vehicle is turned off and locked. It is designed to prevent people from using a coat hanger to snake in the window and hit the unlock button. I'm guessing that this malfunctioning. I was told to take mine to the dealer and they would hook up the scan tool and turn off this feature. I haven't done it yet though cause I'm afraid of what I'll get charged. Let me know if you get yours working again.
