door opened on it's own!!

So I'm driving home from the gym, and I hit a pot hole on the passenger side. At the same time, I hear a 'ding' and I'm like "WTF?".. and then I see the "Door Ajar" light come on..

Sure enough, when I hit the pot hole, the passenger side front door popped open. Any one else have this happen? I wonder if it wasn't shut all the way or something... but the door was even LOCKED....

It might be the little plastic clips that hold the door rods have broken. I had one of those clips break and the door would not latch closed. Or it could be the door was not fully closed.

it was its way of laughing at you for hitting a pot hole

i've had it happen but it was my rear glass. i've had issues with the hatch and glass for years though.
