door panel elbow rests broken

So I recently noticed that both front door elbow rests are broken. It looks like the elbow rest 8 a plastic piece with the vinyl pulled over it. My plastic piece is broken. I've seen people re upholstery g their door panels but I couldn't drag up any links.

Has anyone been able to tidy up the elbow rests?

Common problem with the first gens.. Myself I found an arm rest that was in decent shape at the junkyard. The plastic was intact, the vinyl was just a little dirty. A magic eraser cleaned the vinyl right up and it looks great.

Others have made their own arm rests from wood, staining it even. I'll try to find a link.

Also, These are NLA from Ford as one would imagine..Yes, I checked.
