door panel removal???

i have a 96 xlt and the passenger side door doesnt lock.does anyone have any tips or tricks for removal.thanks in advance for your help..

I use a plastic (nylon) spatula from the kitchen to pry the plastic panel from the metal on the door. I slide it in and over to each plastic snap along the bottom then work my way around. The panel then lifts straight up from the window sill. Put the window down when you're ready to put the panel back on...makes it easier.
