Getting ready to do this myself tomorrow. From what I understand , the best way is to use a jack to hold th edoor up and loosen the bolts from the top hinge and the door first. This should then allow enought room to get a rotary tool, drill, or grinder to grind the rivet out of the existing pin. Then install the new bushings and pin. Good Luck!
would like to know how it turns out, I have always just replaced the whole hing which is a royal pain in the rear for the top one, didn't know pins were available
We just picked up a hinge for the GFs ride the other day. After installed it yet though. However, I guess sometimes a sagging door is cause by the hinges ovaling out so replacing the pins won't help.
By any chance are the later model hinges the same as the older models? I have extra 99 hinges that I might like to use in my 93, if they'd work. LOL,

Do a search..this topic has been covered a lot...common problem for the X
Only advice, besides using a jack....is to use a dremmel to cut the old pins off. If not, you'll spend all day trying to remove them. Just cut them out and install the new ones. Make sure you mark alignment of hinges so you can line back up when done. Pretty straight forward, shouldn't take you more than an hour or two.

I believe Ford uses the same pins for all X's and many other Ford models as well. I got my pins from autozone...they sell one kit that fits F150 /Explorers/Bronco's.
Hope this helps...
Hey guys replaced the top pin and took only 30 min.Jacked up door just enough to removed the pressure created by sag, removed the two door-side bolts put a grinding stone in my drill and ground off the bottom off and punched out the pin. I had to push back on the door to remove the pin.Bushings were toast. All good now. Thanks for all comments!!
