I have a 2004 explorer and the display keeps saying a door is open, i have checked all the door and they are closed, one of the sensors seems to be stuck, where is door sensor located?

i believe its in the lock itself - wd40 the crap out of it

the door sensors are on the side of the latch inside the door......kind of a pain to get to. they are known to stick though. spary brake clean in the latch to really wash the sticky stuff out and then dont forget to lube it back up with some silicon lube or white litium grease. i would go around one door at a time untill the door ajar alarm goes off...that way you know which one it was.....then when it sticks again (which it will) you can go right back to it and replace it or lube it again.

that other posting was me, i posted in the wrong section
