Need some help here. I went to check my door info sticker to see about paint codes and noticed it was nowhere to be found!! Looked on pillar --everywhere.
Then I went to a decoder website with the VIN and they just give you the general vehicle information. I bought the truck used, ran a history on it (clean) so I am a bit confused why it would be missing. Any ideas on what to do?

you can try and call a local ford dealer and they may be able to tell you the color code by looking up the VIN.

As far as I remember the VIN doesn't give color code.

Door sticker should look like this though.

Yea VIN doesn't give rear springs and TT's axles etc.

I can almost guarantee the Service/Mechanic desk at the dealer can give you the color code if you provide them with the VIN. I've had to buy touch up paint for my roommate when I backing into her Scion TC, I gave them the vin and the guy handed me the correct touch up paint. Call them and see, it's FREE!! ( the call not the paint ):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Only problem, after 10 years they don't keep those records at the dealership. I have tried that at a few Ford service locations and got the same answer for my 97. "Sorry it's too old", after they play on their database.
