Doors will not shut please help!!!

hi guys been here a while just never posted much cause i always found anwsers searching untill now.

i got a 95 sport and i recently had it in the ditch and now both doors wont shut (2 door)
so is there a relay for the latches?if so where is it?

I did manage to shut them a few times after i pushed the lock/unlock button but now it wont at all and i have to tie the doors shut so i cant drive it

Welcome to this forum! Check the latch mechanism to see if it's locked. If so, release it manually, then open the turn part by hand.

Yeah there's like this little jaw looking thing (on the door itself) that comes down on the bolt-head (on the body), make sure thats in the "open" position. You may have to pull on the outside door handle to force this jaw to open with a screwdriver or something.

the latches seem to be working just wont latch to keep door shut

If you had it in a ditch (I'm not asking how - you drunkard ), then the door might not be aligned with the body -- and the jaw and the bolt might not be contacting correctly.

i was on way home from work lol it was alot of snow
i wish i was drunk rite now tho haha

i used a screw driver to push the latches in and the still dont latch so its not alinement issue

if it was in the ditch, i wonder if it has frozen somehow. how about squirting the crap out of it with lock deicer, or taking it inside somewhere warm, like a indoor park aid, or a car wash?

i would but i cant drive it cause the leaf spring hanger is also broken

but its been plus 10 and they still wouldnt shut
ill spray it and try that
or try and get the door panel off?

I am having the same problem on my '95 Eddie Bauer. The door lock does not go up or down on the driver side rear door. When I hit the power door lock switch I can hear and see the actuator go up and down but the lock still stays in the locked position. I have removed the door panels and sprayed an entire can of WD40 on all the mechanisms but still nothing. I have also tried pulling on the latch rod and the lock rod to see if it unlocks but still nothing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

was searching and this is the same thing that is happening but to both doors

try looseing the bolts on the doors a little shutting the door then retightining them. They might not be aligned right. I have this issue usually when i take the doors off of my truck.

UPDATE

ok i got the pass side door almost working it shuts and closes but it flys open when i push the unlock button why is that?

now for the driverside its shut and wont open how can i get this goddam door open ?GRRRRRRRRR
