DPFE Hoses

Just replaced my DPFE, and I could not remember which way the two hoses went. I went to replace it the other day only to realize that I had received the wrong part, and did not get the right part until today. And now I cannot remember which hose attaches where. Does the longer hose attach to the front port, or to the rear port on the DPFE itself?

When I changed mine I just got 2 pieces of hose at work and put em on..unfortunatley they are the same length cause I got lazy and didnt cut em. The rear port on the DPFE connects to the port on the egr tube that is closest to the drivers fender. The front attaches to the egr tube port closest to the engine. That is how it is on mine anyway.

So basically, the rear port on the DPFE attaches to the egr port that is farther down the egr tube, and the front DPFE port attaches to the one closer to the top of the tube?

I think so. My 'X' isnt here right now so i cant look but I think thats right.
