I was wondering if there are any drag strips in Southern California so I can find out my 0-60 and 1/4 mi time. I live in Fullerton so hopefully they are around here. And how much do they usually cost? Thanks
Good to see some others in the area! I think we need to start a local So. Cal Explorer Club!!!!! Any way there is a track in Pomona and my friend said that there is one in Burbank that you can go and run at. The one in burbank is probably the easyest one to get into without having to enter a race. I am thinking of going with him when he tests out his modifyed saturn. Ill keep you informed and give me some feed back on a local explorer club that can posably get together once a month or so and do some local day runs or such to arrowhead and big bear ect....
That Palmdale place sounds awesome because all May and June, High School students race for free. I gotta cheack this place out. I am going more than once if it FREE. BTW, I couldn't find where it is located. Does anyone happen to know?
We definitely need a So Cal 4x4 Explorer Club. There are a couple of great places right close to me, and I've heard that big bear is a great place too.
punisher,
I don't remember exactly where LACR is. . probably just have to call them.
I don't even own an Explorer yet but will very soon. If I don't have one by the time you guys think of doing a trip I could always take my Jeep just to meet you guys and get involved so that I can hang once I do purchase the vehicle.

I live right up in the glendale-burbank-pasadena area. My neighbors kids who are students are always taking their mustangs and cameros up to palmdale, one of these days when I'm not out chasing other things I intend to get up that way just to see what they are up to. Since both of my explorers are 2 wheel drive for the time being I have to limit my off-roading slightly. I do have plans to convert one over the right way (D44, Atlas) one of these days, just have to get that engine built first.
