hey, you guys with with the 91-94 style airboxes. Where exactally on your airbox did you drill your holes?
Any pics would be nice too.

Thanks
Ryan

I cut my airbox, but I dont' have pictures. I removed the bottom part of the box and used a dremel tool to cut out slots on the sides of the box. My box now has basically no sides, just 4 corner posts :) It works well, and sounds great! :)

I have a 96 EB with a 4.0 and K&N. Is there any reason not to just remove the bottom half of the airbox and attach the K&n directly to the input side??? Seems that would be less destructive to the vehicle, and give the same ore better results, although I guess the air coming in would be somewhat warmer since it's not coming directly from under the fender...

I did exactly that in my Mustang, and I had no problems for the 1.5 years that I had it that way, so I am thinking it would be fine. Only thing is that it will take in hotter air from inside the engine, but it is much less restrictive than the stock setup. Kind of a tradeoff, but I think in the end you would gain.

I drilled mine in front part of airbox just below filter. Today i used some snips and util knife and just cut kind of a big oval. Id like to do what srv did but that sounds like a job!! I bet it sounds great though. later
