As you all probably know, the 97 has the cylindrical air box. I've already got a drop in K&N and am interested in drilling some holes in the box. Where should I drill these holes, how many, how big...etc. I've already performed a search knowing there's tons of info on this but not a whole lot of threads came up.
Rick, you might want to check that out, the search engine kind of sucks.
Much thanks!

I drilled (2) 1 3/4" holes; One at the top, and the other on the backside (towards firewall) to get 360 degree intake.

I also removed the airhorn (or whatever it's called) from the front of the canister.

There are other ways of doing it, and some have talked of being careful to prevent water ingestion when off-roading

I did a search for air box drilling and drilling air box and came up with several threads that contain the information.

Thanks! Rick, I'm glad to see it does work. I guess I just entered a bad string or combination of words.
