I store my '96 Explorer for about 8 months each winter. I need an emissions test, have driven the car almost 100 miles in the last few days. Nothing is changing on the diagnostics. Two cycles are fine. Four are not ready. Suggestions?

Welcome to this forum! So you want to know how to pass the smog test? Some people clean everything out with Seafoam. There is another additive that has a label on it which says that it's guaranteed to help you pass. I once bought it, but I don't remember who makes it.

welcome

I thought a "ready" cycle is the car going from open loop to closed loop. The 4 cycles that are listed as "not ready".. were they somewhat short trips?

...I am curious as to your location..

...What States emission test are you trying to pass and what have you done with the vehicle since it has sat for so long??...
