My 02 XLT 4/4 has a thunking noise in the driveshaft middle joint between the transfer case and the rear differential. It is only when you test for it by going back and then forward after stopping. I also have broken spring in rear and plan to put quick struts all around and then have it aligned. Are there any thoughts or problems in this drive shaft joint? My transfer case and rear diff. seem fine and have had seals and regular 75/140 plus friction modifier done in the diff. Also is there a special new fluid for the transfer case or just Mercon5?
